Snow and Las Vegas

Going on a winter vacation to Las Vegas?

Your leaving those ski’s behind because you think there is no snow in Las Vegas? Think again!

No, we are not crazy.
We know Las Vegas is in the desert southwest.
We know there is no snow on the ground in the Las Vegas valley.
But we also know about a place just 30 minutes away from the middle of the Las Vegas Strip called
Mt. Charleston, where there is an abundance of snow on the ground all winter. And if you are not
familiar with the place, then bring those ski’s and learn more about Las Vegas than you ever knew
before. Imagine hitting those slopes all day then retreating to you hotel for dinner and the Las Vegas
night life. Sound good? Leave it to “Las Vegas on the Wire” to bring it to your attention.

Heading up to Mt. Charleston via route 95 you will first find signs directing you to Mt. Charleston.
As you assend the mountain you will find signs that direct you to “Lee Canyon” where the “lifts” are
just waiting for you. You’ll find it hard to believe you are in the desert southwest. Gone is the
desert landscape. Instead you will see nothing but pine trees and green everywhere. Even wildlife!

All of a sudden you have an all new perspective on vacationing in Las Vegas during the winter months.
“SNOW in Las Vegas!” Can you imagine that? Skiing while on vacation in Las Vgeas? Or maybe some
“snowboarding”?
